    Creative Keys is open by appointment only.  Private and group lessons are available between the hours of 3:00pm and 8:00pm Monday-Friday (all instruments) and 9am-2pm Saturdays (private guitar, group guitar, and CK Rocks only).  Please call us at 727-736-8018 or email hayley@creativekeysinc.com to select an available time slot.

    With over 200 students and 14 teachers, Creative Keys is Pinellas County's Premier source for music education. Our experienced, friendly instructors and beautiful, spacious facility make us the top choice for students of all ages. The studio has eight private rooms and a large multi-purpose room, as well as a waiting area with free Wifi. 

    Private lessons are offered for ages 5 to adult on piano, guitar, bass guitar, drums, voice, violin, viola, clarinet, and saxophone.  Beginner group lessons are available on guitar and violin for ages 7 and up.  Other new groups for Fall include homeschool general music, Pre-K general music, and Chorus. Several camps are available over the summer for ages 5 and up (see info below). Whether your level is beginner, intermediate, or advanced, our instructors will help you achieve your musical goals!

    Children in grades 3-12* will enjoy coming together as a group to learn and sing songs in a variety of genres.   No prior vocal experience is required; just a desire to sing!  At the end of the first semester, students will perform in a concert where donations of $1 or more will be donated to a local charity to help with a Thanksgiving dinner.  The chorus will meet once a week for 12 weeks, then will take time off over the holidays, returning for a 2nd semester January 19th

    Schedule:  Thursdays, 7-8pm, 3-month commitment required with 2 absences allowed (no reduction in tuition for absences)

    Tuition for 1st semester, Thursday, September 1st – Thursday, November 17th:  $90 (breaks down to only $7.50 per class).  Partial or full scholarships may be available for those in need; please call Hayley Fair to discuss:  727-687-0589

    About the instructor: 
    Virginia Seaman is a piano and voice teacher at Creative Keys and an elementary school music teacher for the Pasco County school district.  She has 9 years of experience working with public schools and 30 years of experience leading church choruses.  Virginia also has a great deal of performance experience, including singing with the Opera Tampa Chorus, Master Chorale, the Florida Orchestra, and community choirs and theaters.  She loves working with children and helping them to have fun while making music.

     

    Homeschool general music group classes now available at Creative Keys! 

    Students will learn all of the basics of music in a fun, motivating environment with instructor, Hayley Fair

    Concepts/activities covered during 1st semester include:

    • Note reading
    • Rhythmic notation – reinforced through the use of rhythm instruments
    • Tempo (speed of music)
    • Dynamics (louds, softs)
    • Music symbols, such as accents, legato/staccato, fermata, etc.
    • Singing – learning solfege along with hand signals
    • Composer biographies – we will create a composer book throughout the semester
    • Music history, including overview of Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary time periods
    • Instruments of the orchestra – by sight and sound

    This class will meet once per week for a full hour and is separated into two groups, K & 1st grade and 2nd-5th grade.  Payment is collected for the full month, regardless of attendance.

    K & 1st grade:

    Semester 1: Tuesday, September 6th – Tuesday, December 13th
    Tuition: $10 per class, paid monthly (Sept = $40, October = $40, November = $40, December = $20)
    Schedule:  Tuesdays, 1:45-2:45pm

    2nd-5th grade:
    Semester 1: Monday, September 12th – Monday, December 12th
    Tuition:  $10 per class, paid monthly (Sept = $30, October = $50, November = $40, December = $20)
    Schedule:  Mondays, 1:45-2:45pm

    Join us this summer and fall to learn a variety of rock songs and gain experience performing as part of a group. This is the perfect opportunity to come together with other musicians and stretch your skills. Students must have at least 6 months experience playing their instrument. Guitarists, bassists, drummers, vocalists, keyboardists, and other instruments are welcome!

    Instructor: Patrick Glencer

    Session schedule: Fridays, 8:00-9:30pm, Tuesdays 2:30-4:00pm, or Saturdays 12:30-2pm

    Cost: $125 per 4-week session

    About the instructor:

    • 15 years of guitar playing experience
    • 8 years of private and group teaching experience
    • Taught by a graduate of Berklee College of Music
    • Teaches a variety of musical styles to all levels, beginner to advanced
    • Vast amount of knowledge in music theory

    Beginner students will learn the basics of playing the guitar (either acoustic or electric) while learning familiar songs. Music theory will be introduced and will include basic chord structure, rhythm, and tablature reading. This is a great way to see if playing the guitar is right for you and will help the transition to private lessons. Please bring along your guitar (let us know ahead of time if you need an instrument). Workshops are organized into 6-week sessions.
