Alexa Baray is a musical theatre professional who has performed with award-winning regional theatres throughout Florida. With a resume that spans classic golden age musicals such as Guys and Dolls and modern hits like Hair and A Chorus Line, Alexa is comfortable tackling the entire spectrum of the musical theatre catalogue. A trained “belter” who is also capable of singing lilting soprano lines, Alexa is a big advocate for proper vocal technique and style exploration, believing there is no better way to learn your own voice then through experimentation.
Alexa earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music in May of 2012. Along with performing, she has always been drawn to teaching. Since 2010 Alexa has dedicated her summer months to teaching dance, acting, and voice in summer camp settings, and loves imparting her knowledge and love of live theatre to younger generations. For six years Alexa was the head of the dance department for the University of Miami’s Summer Theatre Academy, choreographing and directing musical performances in conjunction with giving regular lessons.
