DESCRIPTION:Camp Creative is a specialty\, small group music camp that gives students entering 2nd – 5th grades the opportunity to try out Piano\, Guitar\, and Violin in small-group workshops taught by Creative Keys instructors (instruments will be provided). Students will also have fun playing music games that will reinforce note reading\, rhythm\, and more! \nThere will be a maximum enrollment of 12 students per week. This camp sells out every year\, so be sure to register early to hold your child’s spot! \nFace coverings are required for all students and instructors during camp. A graduate of Carson Newman University with a Bachelor in Music Education\, she has extensive elementary teaching experience as a music specialist. She has led 4th and 5th grade chorus and percussion groups\, as well as taught privately while helping to organize collaborative projects with Ruth Eckerd Hall and various community events. \nKate’s warm and welcoming personality makes her an ideal fit for students ages 8 to adult\, and she loves coaching eager new students of all levels. When she’s not playing classical masterpieces\, Kate enjoys broadway tunes\, Disney standards\, and bluegrass! Since 2017\, she has been a proud member of both the Florida Music Education Association as well as the National Association for Music Education. Kate always wants to make sure that each of her students receives the best training possible\, while having fun and exploring the endless possibilities music can offer!

DESCRIPTION:Students\, you are invited to join the Creative Keys Spring Recital which will be held on the weekend of April 17th and 18th virtually over Zoom! \nPlease plan to record a video of your performance at home or at your lesson and send the file to Creative Keys. We will then compile student videos into a showcase for your performance time. On your performance date and time\, students\, teachers\, family\, and friends will get together over Zoom for a “watch party” – you can invite as many family members and friends as you’d like to join in the fun! Our Director\, Hayley Fair\, will emcee the event. It’s wonderful to hear everyone’s applause as we recognize students for a job well done! After the performance\, the recitals will be uploaded to the Creative Keys YouTube channel so you can watch again and share as you wish. \nStudents\, we encourage you to make a goal of performing 1 or 2 pieces and dress your best for your performance. It’s a good idea to introduce yourself and the titles of the piece(s) you’re playing\, as well as thank the audience for listening at the end (verbal thank you and/or bow/curtsey). After you sign up on SignUp Genius\, you will receive instructions on how to submit your video\, including tips for a quality recording\, a Dropbox link\, and a deadline for video submission.
