Chianna D.
Piano
Chianna is currently finishing her Music degree at the University of Tampa and previously graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Petersburg College.
Her music studies include several years of training at Creative Keys, tutelage from concert pianists including Slyvanna Fraga and Tunde Krasznai, and multiple semesters of piano and music theory at St. Petersburg College. She began learning a variety of instruments at the age of 7 and continues to pursue her passion for piano, voice, violin, and guitar, which she also uses to write her own musical compositions.
Chianna has performed at recitals, weddings, corporate events, private functions, academies, and other special events. In Spring 2026, she performed at the Henry B. Plant Museum in Fletcher, sang with the auditioned choir Women in Song, and performed with the University of Tampa choir Illuminare. She also performed in a Spring 2026 piano ensemble featuring Carnival of the Animals for two pianos, along with other works. In Winter 2026, she served as pianist for the film Said Pascha.
Chianna was also honored by the University of Tampa Department of Music in Spring 2026 with an award for Outstanding Musicianship, Performance, and Academic Achievement.
She comes from a fine line of musicians, including a great-aunt who performed with the South African Philharmonic Orchestra and for Queen Elizabeth II of England.
Over the years, Chianna has taught students of all ages and believes that everyone has their own unique learning style. She values patience, consistency, and passion as essential parts of both learning and teaching music.
Chianna enjoys many genres, from Classical to Celtic to Ragtime and more, with a primary focus on classical works by composers such as Chopin, Rachmaninov, Bach, Brahms, and others. She also encourages students to compose their own music and, most importantly, to nurture and develop their love for music and the history behind it.
