Bass Lessons

for ages 6 & Up. Beginner to advanced

Our bass instructors teach a variety of styles including rock, jazz, blues, metal, country, bluegrass, and folk. Bass lessons are offered on electric or acoustic instruments. Students should bring their bass to class each week. All levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced, ages 8 to Adult.

We teach all styles, from rock, pop, jazz, and blues to metal, country – on electric and acoustic basses.

Our bass instructors bring many years of teaching and performance experience to their lessons, along with college studies in music. They are all highly knowledgeable in music theory, and are well-versed in teaching and performing a variety of styles. Our teachers love helping students of all ages and levels to reach their goals on the guitar or bass. All instructors have the minimum qualifications for families to receive scholarship reimbursement from PEP, UA/FES, and many others.

Beginner bass students can expect to work on simple songs, bass line construction, how to play with a drummer, sight reading, hand technique and theory. Our instructors balance musicianship and fun! Teachers use a variety of methods from well-known music publishers to help students learn and practice the basics while learning new skills on a weekly basis.

Yes, you will need to purchase an instrument to bring to class and to practice on at home. Your instructor can make recommendations on an instrument to buy, either locally or from a trusted online source.

Our bass instructors are warm and friendly, and get to know each student and parent on a personal level. Your teacher will work with you to craft a lesson plan that fits your individual needs and the student’s favorite type of music. Whether you’re playing in a local band, a seven year old taking their first lesson, or a fifty year old returning to the guitar after many years, your instructor will help you set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.

PRIVATE LESSON RATES

Private lessons are on a monthly membership with weekly attendance for 30 minutes (same day, time, and teacher each week). Tuition is calendar-based, with pricing as follows:

Dunedin Location:

$34 per 30 minute private lesson on a monthly membership

$136 for months with 4 weeks
$170 for months with 5 weeks
One-time registration fee: $25

Tampa Location:

$36 per 30 minute private lesson on a monthly membership

$144 for months with 4 weeks
$180 for months with 5 weeks
One-time registration fee: $25
